Locko Park is an ideal place to go
walking; a bridleway passes through the park, past the lake,
affording the visitor a grand sight of the hall.
You can take a stroll through the park end-to-end or pass through
and explore the nearby villages (and pubs!) of Spondon, Ockbrook and
Dale Abbey. |

Getting to
Locko
By Car:
There are two places to park at either end of the bridleway:
South:- the road between Oakwood and Spondon has a lay-by close to the South Lodge entrance.
East:- There is a parking area at the
top of an unmarked turnoff on the A6096 Spondon -Ilkeston road, about half a mile
out of Spondon village.
